John Kozak, CPA
Partner
John Kozak’s career included positions at Marsh Inc. and KPMG before joining the firm in 1999. He is an adjunct professor at Clayton State University and sits on the Advisory Board for the CSU School of Business. John volunteers both at his church and at a homeless shelter. He’s an avid pro football fan who loves running to offset his other love: Italian food. He shares his home in Avondale Estates with his wife Sheila.
Geoff Fulton, CPA
Partner
Geoff Fulton’s career includes employment at Security First Technologies and KPMG, where he worked in the audit department. Geoff is a former chairman of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce and currently volunteers with the Fayette County Youth Soccer League, his church and as Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 76 in Fayetteville. His favorite sports are currently basketball and soccer — he’s drawn to what his children (Emma and Walt) are playing.
Sheila Kozak, CPA, CVA
Tax Department
Sheila Kozak’s career included positions at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a local CPA firm in Griffin, GA and KPMG, where she specialized in corporate tax and non-profit tax. Sheila has served as President of Atlanta Women’s Network. She has run several 200 mile relay-races with a team of 12 and also loves to golf and box. Sheila is also an avid Atlanta Falcons fan. Every Friday she indulges her craving for Mexican food and on occasion, she gives into her love of chocolate. Sheila shares her home in Avondale Estates with her husband John.
Dan Soles, CPA
Assurance Department
Dan Soles has been part of Fulton & Kozak since 2002 and enjoys being able to show his audit clients how some simple changes in procedures can make their lives easier. Dan is a native Atlantan who says fried chicken is his favorite food, and who makes his home in Hampton with his wife Brittany. He is currently involved in the Leadership Henry Program, and volunteers extensively with his church.
DJ Fulton, CPA
Founder
After founding DJ Fulton CPAs in the 1980’s, DJ became part of Fulton & Kozak CPAs in 1999. DJ stays connected to his community through service with his church, with Meals on Wheels and through his Rotary Club. DJ enjoys addressing difficult situations for his clients, and in his spare time, you’ll find him on the golf course addressing challenging approach shots. DJ lives in Jonesboro with Pat, his wife of 40+ years, and his cat. He has four grown children and four grandchildren.
Christa Fox
Bookkeeping Department
Christa Fox is a Staff Bookkeeper who enjoys mastering the QuickBooks software. She joined the company in 2016. She played collegiate soccer and continues to coach soccer in her community. Christa currently resides in Fayetteville with her husband Glen and many farm animals.
Sandi Lam
Tax Department
Sandi Lam joined Fulton & Kozak as a Staff Accountant in the summer of 2017. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Professional Accountancy at Georgia State University. Her motto is “I did not choose accounting, accounting choose me.” In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and traveling.
Alejandro Naranjo
Bookkeeping Department
Alejandro Naranjo is a Staff Bookkeeper who enjoys playing soccer and listening to music. He joined the firm August 2018. He recently graduated from Whitewater High School and is currently attending Georgia Military College. Alejandro resides in Rex, Ga with his older brother.
Joan Richardson
Administrative Assistant
Joan Richardson is an Administrative Assistant supporting the Fulton & Kozak team who was born in London and came to the United States in the 90’s. She lived in New York and worked in the health field, then moved to the South in 2005. Joan makes her home in Jonesboro with her husband Greg and three children. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting and knitting, and also spends time walking, reading and listening to music.
Tammie Mashburn
Administrative Assistant
Tammie Mashburn is an Administrative Assistant, who joined Fulton & Kozak in February 2018. She comes with over twenty five years of experience in an Administrative role. Tammie is originally from Forest Park, Georgia, but moved to Fayetteville, where she currently resides, in 1999. She has three children and two beautiful grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, learning to shoot pool, learning to crochet, and spending as much time as possible with her grandbabies. She is interested in learning line dancing and racquet ball.
