Firm History

In 1984, Geoff Fulton's father opened his own CPA practice on Atlanta's south side, called D. J. Fulton, CPA.

In the late 1980's, Geoff Fulton and John Kozak met as freshmen in college and forged a friendship as they developed their own skills as accountants.

Upon graduation, John and Geoff joined KPMG; John discovered a love of tax and business planning, while Geoff moved toward an audit specialty. Both Geoff and John joined Geoff's father's firm in 1999. Before long, they had doubled the size of the firm, and expanded the firm's reach beyond the south side, to all of Metro Atlanta.

On January 1, 2005, Geoff and John purchased D. J . Fulton CPA, establishing Fulton & Kozak CPAs. Today, the firm has thirteen employees and is poised to open satellite offices in metro Atlanta in the near future.
